When you temove all the plastic it replaces the weigh aint much more less than twice the weigh of stock i figure you can send an email to ask flm might take a while to get an answer...lol
The beast I have can handle the extra weigh. I am making this build to survive the vast northern wilderness as a bashing survivavilaty if there is such a word

One thing I just thought of is the extra weight of the alza braces wont be needed.  So that would offset the difference also.

My FLM shock towers (FLM43000) came in yesterday and even tho I dont have enought hardware to properly install, I still slaped it together. The following pictures where taken yesterday/today, and she is starting to come together. The vision is almost complete and ready for big air.

Looks awesome. Love it all. Curious about the weight of the arms & truck in the end. Sure looks great. Nice to se another truck with the XL HD TVPs as most go LCG.

The weigh might be a little high on it but I find it so well built to begin with (for bashing) I don't want to change the engeneering of the original. I have bought the brushless conversion kit due to lack of knowlage turned into a 200$ lesson, but will make something of it for next winters build.

To give you an idea of the weight range, I weighed my Blackout truck with fuel and bajas and it came in at 14.5lbs, My stock length flux with batteries and bajas weighs 15.5lbs. Take away the weight of the bajas which are a pound a piece. That leaves you with a savage (or mine) that weighs in at 10.5lbs and 11.5lbs. The strange thing is that my flux with batteries in seems to weights A LOT more than 1 pound over my Blackout. It has been said that a stock XL weighs 12lbs give or take. This being said your savage with fuel and wheels by my guess should be around the 12lb mark.

Why would I say it weights the same as a stock savage XL? Personally I think the stock XL weights around 9-10lbs. My custom TVPs do weigh more than stock XL TVPs and Im willing to bet my TVPs weigh more than FLM ones because I do not have the cut outs that they do.

Ok, so I just weigh mine as seen in the last pic @ 11.5lbs and will probably be close to 13.5lbs fuel and all.
As long as I can reach 88 miles/hr the flux capasitor will do the rest, just got to watch out for barns on the other side
50Kmh is all I need for raming the neighbours pootle  :P

Thats mighty cold to run some nitro. Preheat the motor and good luck tuning, these motors arent fans of super cold weather.
