So I'm going to be sneaky here and ask the same old question in a new and hopefully inconspicuous way so that it's repetitiveness may go undetected.

Here goes...

Can someone suggest a body for my XL along these lines. But that fits of course. (sports car'ish)

I do like the Revo body, but the thing that kicks it out of my search is the profile.
I know that for a truck body, it is pretty low profile, but that's still taller than what I'm shooting for.

According to my tape measure, the e-revo body will cover the shock towers.
Anyone ever do that?

The thing that started my thinking this way was watching my 3yr old play with his Maximum Destruction Hot Wheels MT.

I wish.   It's almost 27" long and a foot wide.

Update:

I've still got plenty of work to do. I have to do some cutting to allow the shock towers to protrude through the body a little so it'll sit lower, and of course the cooling head/fuel lid area and front windshield.

^^^ I agree. Tight paint job.

I'm thinking I may call re-do on this job. The further I get, the less I'm liking it.
That Xciter will be at the top of the list.    I've just seen enough of that stinkin stock XL body.
I can't think of anything uglier. It screams "I'm a slug!"
