For bashing id recommend doing a midtank mod with a 250cc ofna 1/7 tank. You get your run times up to 30 min. And it also gets rid or the crappy throttle break linkage. Its a fun mod to do and you can make most of the parts with basic tools.

savage x ss 4.6
homemade mid tank with 250cc ofna tank, alum servo saver, sv250 mod 3 speed, ofna throttle mod, hitec 5645 steering 5625 throttle servo, 35wt shock oil, triple rate springs, 30k wt diff oil, wp radio box, sealed engine, tony's screws.

Interesting chassis, not seen those tvp's b4.

Get done 17mm hex wheels with 1/2"offset as those you have are 14mm and will strip out soon.

I would can that rollbar and put a stock one with the engine protector.

Big bore shocks

Ofna throttle mod in the stock position

And run that tank that gets rid of the mid tank lean and looks all funny sitting crooked.  Doesnt look the best but it is supposed to work great.  I think its an ofna mod and either sv650 or skillet did it.

ERCM pipe with the recommended header pipe, and a better steering servo and Flysky radio if budget permits for these two.  The above would be under 100.  The pipe, radio and servo would be close to 300 after shipping.

Nice, I haven't seen a set of TT tvps in a while. I like the stock .21/.25 roll bar better than the plastic one on the newer savages too. I gotta agree with the first comment, bash it till it breaks, then fix what breaks.

This is the cheapest way to go 17mm.

This is more expensive, and will not work with the XL dog bones.
