So after a good 5yr's of sitting i got my savage back out and gave it a good thrashin. Was launching it over a 12-15ft tall mound of dirt in a field, no HUGE air cause i'm bad at tuning to be honest. I got it where it runs decent but i just cant get it to scream, it'll run thru all 3 gears but i just know I'm lacking RPM's in the top end. Anyways i was having a blast ripping thru the field and sending her flying and a few tanks later i figured it was time to pack it up when i lifted up the truck and noticed something sticking out that wasnt supposed to be sticking out.
The thing that struck me most was the truck drove perfectly fine the whole time. It was still tracking straight with no signs anything was wrong, even though the front end was shifted over about half an inch. I've started working on it, but i just had to share the story and my surprise as to the punishment this truck can take. Frame all bent out of shape and the dang thing just keeps going. |

| They're on a list, but for now a vice and some 2x4's will have to suffice as a frame straightener. I also found that i cracked the electronics box where steering servo post is. Oh well, i had a blast and i know ill get more time on her before i have to replace it all. What got me bummed is i lost two screws and i think i need a new plate that all the stuff up front mounts too cause the screws tore out of the plastic box deal on the plate. Sorry if its confusing but i dont know what to call it. |

Probably should have just added this to my last post, but i thought I'd add a little update. A vice and a hammer later i think i didn't do to shabby. Its not perfect but i think the springiness of the metal means ill never get it perfectly straight.

| Nice fix. It should hold up for you. I am surprised it was tracking straight when it was bent. Happy bashing. |

nice fix, but as i'm sure you know, it'll only do for a temp repair. if you're gonna go for standard TVP's again, you could double them up for extra strength and durability. I've done it, and it makes a huge difference. stiffens her right up |
