Bi Directional Clutch

Okay i've seen almost every clutch Werks 3 shoes 2 shoes the new team orion but i cant figure out what this bi direction clutch is can some please explain to me how it works and what its advatages are ?? Thanks in advanced

This is a bi-directional clutch. When the engine "spins up" the shoes are forced out to contact the bell. Then when RPM's drop the springs pull it back in. The advantage is there is a huge amount of surface contact.

ohhh okay so instead of the clutch rotaing outward to contact the clutch bell like convential two and three shoes clutches thes ones slide out to grab the clutch bell. OHh thanks makes sense thanks man.
