that will not eliminate the diff shifting in the diff housing, causing the pinion to chunk a few teeth off. But it's better than what we have now! |

If you can't get them, you can always try my $2 Diff Case Mod.

I don't get it. With the 4 gear mod, the stock ones hold up pretty well and they are only $5. What are you actually gaining with the a set of cases that costs 20 times more?? Not to mention the added rotational mass and weight
Am I missing something here? |

Quite a few people have posted that they have seen significant case wear, even with the 4 spider diff mod. Plastic can crack and break, aluminum will not.
With the aluminum cases, you'll never have to worry about it again.
For some people, $90 a pair is well worth it. |

| Gaining durability, but as you said stock ones can be had for much cheaper. I think in a quest to spend money, I'll probably pick a set up... |

might trie that mod it looks easy but i dont have a dremal
I'v not opened my diffs for 1 gal so dont no the condition
but i thought a washer behined the gear might stop the wear cus the washer will wear rather that the plastic
but I might do the mod if i can think of a way without a dremal any ideas |

Hmmm..It might be a little tough without a dremel. I guess you can cut the metal with some heavy duty shop scissors and then use metal files to clean them up. If you plan on doing it like that, let us know how it comes out. |
