I was confident you would squeeze a couple more mph out of it with the tailgate removed.
Do you have the front windshield open for air flow to the engine? A 1 ½ inch diameter hole in the windshield can cost you about 1.5 mph even with the tailgate removed. Doesn’t seem like much but every little bit helps when going for top speed. |

By the way anyone wondering, my motor was not modded for topend it was modded for low end, but theres a catch to how I reached 55mph.
One thing will remain secret |

| Just curious. Why do you have two different diffs, one BP vorza and one BP savage x? Is that by design and if so could you explain the benefits. |
BADBOY- Savage X: Picco .28, Flux bulkheads, Flux 29/9 bulletproof diffs, ERCM sidebleed
PRINCESS- Savage X: ERCM modded Picco .28, ERCM end bleed, flux 29/9 bullet proof diffs, |

| I chose this setup to test the vorza diff housing compared to the alloy cup. To see which bearing would fail faster. Im using the new savage X sintered BP ring gears on both. They also have the HB steel bevel gears. |

Would there be any negative affects to not having a hole in the windshield? Could it be hard on the motor? Mine has a big hole.
Congrats LL, you have raised the bar again. PM your secret. I won't tell. |

LOL believe it or not its all I could think about last night. Will I go for more, yes, but right now ive set the bar extremely high. My next step is to try the 22t CB. The motor will either push the gearing or wont. Based off what I saw yesterday, it certianly has the power but its reaching it limit on rpm. When I hit 55 you can hear the motor reach rpm it didnt the entire run. Maybe I might have to shorten the header again.
Time will tell.... just remember it goes 55mph up hill
The secrets are inside the motor |

Just bought the traxxas 22t CB and a Motor Saver Airfilter.
Im hoping I can squeeze out 56mph with a cold plug installed. I think the new goal might be 57 or 58mph with the new CB and airfilter.
Its a larger jump in speed changing the CB verses the Spur so hopefully I still have plenty of low end to push this new gearing.
HAHA the gear ratio will be 1.95 WOW thats stupid high, Right now its 2.15
Imagine if I had Robin mod me a top speed motor....hmm I wonder if 60mph is achieveable? I mean afterall mines not a top end motor, its a ballz out power motor |

| What bell did you buy? The only traxxas 22T bells I know of are mod .8 |

You will have to look very hard to find a standard 22T bell in mod 1 vented or non vented.
It should be pretty easy to fit the revo spur to the stock slipper or mod the revo slipper to fit the tranny input. Doing speed runs you really dont need a slipper. I'm running an 18T bell and 22T spur on the twin rig without a slipper.
I dont really see the need for a steel spur either, grab a stock 36T revo spur and see how it works and then get a steel if needed. |

36t would bring me to 1.8:1 which is super high and I dont know if I have the torque to push it
How would you mount the spur to the savage slipper? Would you just drill 3 holes into the plate and bolt it to the spur?
My slipper right now is tightened all the way down but it still slips. So if it was eleminated I could theoretically put more power to the wheels? |
