OK guys,

After a almost complete teardown over the last couple of days to clean her up after some mud bashing last weekend, fun as *censored*!!! I thought while i was putting her back together I would do a mid tank mod with the FLM servo plate. Looks like the plate only works for the extended tvps??? The plate is just a tadd too long, hits against the tranny.

Looks like I will have to pick up a set of the FLM TVPS. Can anyone tell me which ones I need to order for the FLM plate to fit for the mid tank mod?

Extended TVP's are strecthed in the rear,,the front is  the same.

You have to  drill a hole in the TVP's to fit the rear of the FLM plate,

If you want the FLM plates.  I used the Ext. LCG.  But that shouldnt be necessary to use the servo plate.  There is a front and back to the plate.  Did you try it both ways?

Yes tried it boh ways, the plate seems to long wont drop down past the transmission. I should have taken some pics to show.

The side that screws down on the stering linkage can line up but the other side wont drop down past the tranny

Maybe im trying to mount it in the wrong place, does it go above the tranny where the rounded part sticks out? Seems that would be to high? The bars the plate sits on fit fine, holes in the TVP's and everything I dont have the stock TVPs i have the thicker ones just not extnded, I dont think there flm tvp's tho, i dont remember what brand they are I bought them years ago and thereis no brand mark on them. Definately not Savage X plates.

I dont know of any TVP's  being shorter in the front,,your plate should fit

my servo plate came with a brace that was designed to fit between the steering posts and the servo plate. this will space the plate up roughly 0.300" and it will clear the bump in the tranny.

when i built my truck i went with the low center of gravity theme and mounted the servo plate right on the steering posts. it was a lot of extra work to get it to fit like that. here is a pic.

Thanks guys this helps alot. I will see if i can mount it hgher up like in the first pic. With the plate that high does it still screw into the steering colums?

the pic with it mountd direclty on top of the steering colums is where i was trying to mount it and where you have it cut out to fit around the tranny is where it is too long.

I might have to do a litt cut out like you did.

Thanks for the pics.

It cant go any lower,,I'm not sure how sharkey has his set up,,defintly not stock.
