I purchased this item off the bay about 1 year ago as recommended by a member......but I haven't had the chance to install it.

Since I have my engine out for a major truck clean up, I was thinking of installing this mechanism inside my very reliable engine, because sometimes the one way slips a lot....... but I had second thoughts as I studied at how it will actually function.

I just don't know if this mechanism will hold up at 30,000 r.p.m.........Has anyone here ever installed this alternative for a one way bearing for a K4.6 and tell me how it went.

I just cannot see how the little shaft can push in and out of the big end bearing at approximately 30,000 rpm without shaving that flat crank face plate. ?Confused

Would this create a lot of friction, stress and more heat?

?A little bit SUSS about this whole kit.

I need opinions before I reseal and put my engine back together again please.

Advanced thanks.

That looks the same as the setup in my f4.6? Same small pin with spring and same shaped plate with that slot in it. Ive had no problems with my f4.6 slipping or anything. I might be wrong but it shouldn't be a prob

that looks like the internals of the F4.6, I dont think tkat works for the K4.6, the F has an internal owb, (well the pin & spring act as a owb) thats why you can use the nut & set screw to replace the actual OWB, but it wont work on the K4.6.

yes this is the f 4.6 or f 4.1 and you dont need to worry about the plate wearing down as the centrifugal force will override the spring pressure to the pin and the pin will hold away from the plate as soon as you have enough rpm. this is a nice upgrade for the f series.

yes it is a nice mod for the F, but he is try to put it on a K, which has the internal OWB, it will not work on the K.

I'm sure, I told the guy I wanted it for the K-4.6. before I paid for it.

Checking the HPI instruction manuals for F4.1 and F4.6 this mechanism replaces part number:1430,1432 and 1433

While the K-46 has a different system which is part number: 15233 and 15234.

So you guys are correct.

Lucky I asked you guys first, instead of trying to force fit it in the K-4.6.......Thanx FELLAS  Smile

Although I have a F-4.1 in my kawasaki S25 display model, I will never fire it up...and I'd like to keep that classic S25  fully original.

SOOOOO.....anybody want to buy an unused one bearing ELIMINATOR for F 4.1-4.6

$20.00 or I'll beat the cheapest price..... plus shipping, PM me.

actually, the only thing you need to do this mod to the F is the little nut that screws on to the shaft, everything else is already there.
here is a video of this mod

still have to grind the shaft which maybe some may not feel comfortable doing. i think with the kit the shaft is already to go. its just plug n play.

I have thought about this mod but have a question.  I would like to know if this mod would lower performance or add wear and tear on the engine.  With a OWB the shaft spins freely once the engine starts.  With this mod the OWB is constantly attatched to the shaft.  I have wondered if this would lower rpms or add stress to the engine.  What do you think?

The fixed OWB (nut) doesnt continue to spin once the engine is started, The shaft its mounted to isnt connected straight to the crank, There is a spring loaded pin in between, that acts like a OWB. the pin is under load only on start up, just as if the OWB was funtional. Nothing changes.

i've done this mod,, My engine ran like always before, but now it start's easily. I would mod every engine this way if it was possible.
