I'm just using Turnigy 5200mah 2s 30c packs and haven't had any issues of puffing or loss of proformance and for 23.99 from the US warehouse can't really go wrong.  Only downfall is you need to be a good solderer to attach the 10awg wire onto deans.

Stick with the The Hobbyking.com stuff like Zippy or Turnigy, or maybe Venom. Maxamps is ridiculously overpriced. I wouldn't bother with expensive, super high end batteries unless you're racing and need that super competitive edge. Just make sure the Batteries have adequate discharge capability.

Im running maxamps 6000mah 3s packs. Waaaaaay overkill on the power!

If i were you I would get a pair of the highest MAH 2s Maxamps packs available. You will have at least 45 minutes runtime, and still have way more power than you need.

If i could do it again I would go 2s. 3s packs are just too hard on the truck IMO.

Maxamps will also put the right connectors on for you when they assemble the pack, + you get a solid warranty and free pack re-wraps if your packs get busted up.

Also they recently lowered their price on everything..

No im not a maxamps rep, lol

Anyone who buys from Maxamps is a fool. Do what the others recommended and get the Turnigy or Zippy packs. IMHO they are better than maxamps (but pretty much everything is better than maxamps.) For the price of one MA pack you could get probably 5 or more Turnigy packs.

Yes im a homo, lol

Wow, it looks like someone has their pubes in a twist..

So in your "humble" (are you serious?) opinion, Turnigy, Zippy and pretty much everyone else's packs are better than Maxamps packs? Im gonna take a wild guess here... You've never owned a

single Maxamps product in your life. And dont even try to lie.

Do you have any facts to back up your childish excuse for a post?

Did you notice how I actually wrote sentences that contained true, relevant, factual information supporting my opinion? You should try it some time.

Sorry you can't afford Maxamps packs Josh, but its really no reason to insult people on a friendly message board for simply stating their opinion.

Have fun with your 20 dollar batteries.

I didnt mean to insult you. But you are right, I have never owned a MA pack. Why? Because I am too smart to spend that much money on an inferior product. However I have ran a MA pack a few times, and my thoughts were that my Turnigy pack of close to the same specs had more punch, longer run time, and ran cooler. Nothing is better than having a 35 dollar pack out perform a $175+ pack. Trust me, I am not the only person that knows MA packs are made from sub-par, low quality cells. I could post an endless list of links supporting my claim, but why? Im sorry you need to justify spending big $ on MA lipos. Honestly, people that have been in this hobby for a while and know a little about lipos do not run MA. I am pretty sure their marketing demographic are kids and noobs that like cool flame stickers.  If you do a little research you will find numerous threads on numerous forums about how MA packs are not very good, have horrible customer support, a not-so-good warranty, and make false claims about their C-ratings. When I stopped running nitro and went brushless I couldnt wait to buy a MA pack, I heard they were the best most powerfull batteries available. Boy am I glad I decided to do some research!

The Turnigy packs are sweet! I got 4 2s 5200mah for $80 and those 4 will give me almost an hour and a half of bashing time! They take 5600mah total charge each and for the price I couldn't be happier.

I'll be ordering more of these ASAP!

Buying a more expensive product does not always mean better product, I'm not saying Hobbyking batts are better or even equal too, IDK Because Ive never ran them. But I have ran HK batts, and been very happy with them, even If Maxamps is a better battery, The difference between them in performance isnt worth the difference in price.

show me anyone one who is getting more than 25 - 30 mins runtimes out of a flux or similar truck !!!
and either they are crawling or stopping a lot or we need to see their battery choice (with vid to back it up)

yep im running turnigy 5000 mah 2s packs  have many sets and the lowest rated pair puts the truck on its lid easy as pulling the trigger and last 20 min + hard bashing or track circuits

is maxamps a division of unbelievablerc??

Runtime depends a lot on how you are driving. I've had near an hr on larger capacity packs just messing around without a lot of constant high speed (2x 2S Hyperion G3 6500mAh and 1x Turnigy 6S 5000mAh)

Atm I'm running a single Turnigy 40C 6S 4000mAh and for near a quarter the cost of a Hyperion I doubt I could tell the diff performance wise between the two.

my first choice would have been the nanotech 5000mah 46-90C discharge but since they are not available, the Turnigy nano-tech 6000mah 2S 25~50C would be my second choice. if you think they are a bit pricey for you, you can go with the 5000mah capacity

you can also go with the non-nanotech turnigy which is a bit cheaper than my previous recommendation Turnigy 5000mAh 2S 40C Lipo Pack
