I would say, No... and if someone has i would have to assume it was through incorrect installation/shimming.
mine have proven to be exactly as they are named...Bulletproof! 4 months and they still look new apart from the black wearing of the teeth. |

| I know of one rear set going but that was in a well over powered savage running rear wheel drive on the road with high traction tyres fitted, a couple of teeth smashed and the pinion survived.....but thats the only one i know about |

| No damage here on them, but I never had issues with the stockers either. |

When I bought my Flux 2 months ago and the stock gears are already the updated bulletproof ones (9T Pinion, forgot the other tooth count..) and so far still ok.
Question though, since the flux does not use 2-speed tranny, is it ok to grease the gears inside?
Thanks

why would it not be? stock diff in flux comes with hpi grease. i have only run my bulletproofs with 100K silicon diff fluid (for bashing) and that has been fine.
...or did you mean grease the tranny gears? |

They don't need grease because they're self-lubing. |

Cen diffs are great, but they can break.
Bulletproof diffs are much stronger. |

that truck is an absolute beast 4 inches longer than an XL checker plate alloy chassis massive cen 7.7 tyres its hardly a savage flux and I would say the diffs are too small and should probably have its own diffs custom fabricated to fit a truck that size. it would be like trying to run 1/10 scale diffs on a 1/8 truck. |
