Well I bought a brand new buggy....

i managed to totally destroy it today.

was on third tank, just really starting to get breakin started and it ran away about 50 feet from me...lost signal full throttle head on with a parked suv tire about 125 feet down the road doing about 45mph...

end result:  bent chassis, bent shock tower, i now have an "L" shaped dogbone, bent servo rack and a crushed throttle servo.

Very nice... nearly total destruction...

Yeah... the bad thing is I have a new XR3i RX/TX on order, just didn't get it in on time.  But what do ya do.  I am still looking at fail safes though.  Lesson learned!  What is a DSM?

The cool part is.... I am starting a small part out business and I have a "new" buggy on the way to part out, so the parts will not cost much at all.   Should have parts on hand Wed and together before Saturday...just in time for our racing day Smile

I just hope there is no "hidden" damage that I cant see.  I took apart the engine and inspected because it died at full throttle... it seemed to look ok.  I can see on the chassis where it flexed so much there is a small little gouge where it barely came up and kissed the clutch bell.  Also the spur gear (center diff) barely touched the chassis.  There is some very very minor damage to the end tips of the  gear, but it will be fine.  I guess this just shows how close to total devastation it really came.

Enjoy...

Digital Spectrum Modulation, its the carrier wave modulation type used by 2.4GHz type radio systems like Spektrum & Nomadio. In contrast, standard type radio sets use Amplitude Modulation and Frequency Modulation (AM & FM) to convey information over a carrier wave.

and kids, because it uses digital information conveyed over secure slots on the 2.4GHz range, it is virtually 100% free from interference.
