I’m new to the whole Nitro R/C scene, just bought a Savage about 3 weeks ago, and I must say I'm hooked...
I'm 29 and I work in the Canadian Oil Fields, I work for Precision Drilling, I am a Derrick Hand on a land Based Drilling Rig...I do camp work mostly so I'm usually gone for long periods of time... |

I'm 39 and live in Florida. I'm very new to the Nitro truck arena, but am looking forward to having many hours of fun racing and bashing.
I've always been into different R/C hobbies over the years and model building as well. I have a pretty decent tool collection as well as a decent airbrush setup.
As for work, I'm a Regional Field Service Manager for a Digital Radiology Company. In a nutshell, we provice film less x-ray systems for hospitals and imaging centers across the country. Prior to that, I was in the Navy for 14 years and worked on Surface to Air Missile systems and Tomahawk cruise missiles. |

Just noticed this thread. I'm 48, married with 3 kids. two still in the house. Have worked the oil field for 27 years. 20 of those years with a major oil company, and now I have my own consulting company. Work is on a rotational basis overseas. Spend at least 200 days a year away from home, so when I am at home, love to shoot, hunt, fish and rc. Started with rc 5 years ago and getting more into it as my two boys get older (age 11 and 13). We love the hobby, just never seems to be enough time.

Hi, I'm Jim, age 54 and addicted to Savages.
Currently the Chief Engineer for 2 FM and 1 AM broadcast radio stations.
Married, with all kids out of the house now.
I was into nitro R/C airplanes for 5 years previously, but that got way too expensive with hop-ups and crashes, so gave it up in the early 90's. Killed one too many $$$ 4 strokes...
Still like the smell of nitro, so got into MT's a little over a year ago. I don't get to drive/bash as much as I'd like to, as there's no tracks in this city or anywhere nearby, and I get run off construction sites all the time.
I do enjoy building, upgrading, and hopping up these little beasts, though.
I've got 11 grandsons as of now, but the oldest just turned 7. Hope to get one/some of them interested in R/C MonsterTrucks... |
