To quote tbill from earlier, "Stick a fork in it, it's done." Tbill, byardbasher, thier sons, CRSMP5, and myself had a good time today. We broke a bunch of parts, and generally had fun. Thanks to O for for his support, and I wish that more people could have made it. My sav with the Mach hit 32 MPH on the radar, and C's LST hit 37. I don't remember the others speeds, but all savages were with in 5 MPH of each other.

Who is up for a NE winter bashfest the week between Christmas and New Years???

When I watched the vids, I finally realized why I was so tired when I went home that day. With everyone driving but me, I guess I did some running around on the track. Very Happy It took a few tanks to find the right line. There were parts of the track that would penalize you if you took the wrong line as you can see in the vids. This is an awsome track and my son and I are thinking of racing there on a Sunday in August. Hey CRS maybe there should be a new post in the general forum pointing to this stuff so that the members who might not be monitoring the sticky will see some of this stuff. I'll try to get some pics up tonight or tomorrow.

CRS, on the videos, when I right-click, save as, it comes up with a HTML file. I then tried just clicking on the links, but they come up with a message from AOL about daily bandwidth usage being met. I'll try again tomorrow.

Did anyone get any pics or vids of my backflips on the back straight? I'd like to have a few for backgrounds on my screen.

Hey Squid I am kind of surprised the Mach only hit 32 MPH. I dont have one myself but i was expecting more. What gearing were you running. I thought like a stock SS could Hit 40 MPH.

I am running 16/49 ( I think Squid is also ) and my son was clocked at 28. The gun was used when the track was starting to dry out. Entering the straight, he had to ease into the throttle or he would get out of shape. The trucks were not topped out by the time you needed to slow for the turn. By the way, the stock savage at 40 is with 18/49 gearing. Mid 30's is probably right for 16/49 gearing.

well honestly i think the lst was 34mph with slipping clutch/slipper and was pretty rich also.. also the back straight is semi short.. had to back off before you ran out of room.. thats where the LSt accells vs a savage.. it gets up to speed alot faster..

squid hit 34 with his mach, and i think C hit 37 with his buggy. to be honest, the back stretch isn't long enough to really let them open up, and as the day wore on, the traction went away, it was hard to keep the trucks/buggies straight under power. that's also why some of the jumps off the picnic table look short, was too hard to keep the trucks straight.

CRS, I figured out why I was getting a HTML file when I tried "save as." When I tried to load one directly, I got the "out of bandwidth" warning. That explains why the HTML file - it was trying to download that upon the redirect.
