it used to annoy me that when i needed to get the skid plates off, i would always have to take the purple aluminum plates out as well as of the two hooks at the end of the purple plates. specially the front one as i would need to take the steering screws out as well, and that is something i would not have to do as i loc tite them.
i couldn't find a pic of my truck, so i picked a pic from hpi to show the trick.
now the skid plates can be slid back so the hooks will disengage and they are off without removing the aluminum plates.
you can also choose to cut a piece out of the plastic instead of the tvp's. but that is not nearly as much fun. |

but I think that I'm gonna cut that plastic and have some fun with riding instead filing TVP's.  |

| Sweet now I only need to remove 4 screws to check my diffs and oil them thanks dude. And you filed yours right i don't have one so I "Ghetto Alert" Heated the bit up with a lighter and cut it clean off with a Stanley knife worked good thanks. |
