|
|
Actually, I posted these pictures by mistake in the MiniZilla thread thinking that it was a Twin Version of the MiniZilla. I am not at all a fan of HB but they are coming out with the Zilla RTR which is the HB version of an Electric Twin Savage. Anyways, for those who haven't seen the MiniZilla thread, HB is coming out with these in Japan sometime possibly January? The following pics are from last months RCWorld Magazine. I figure they are already in testing since the month that I saw the MiniZilla at an HPI event I also saw in the magazine. So, this is just to let you know that something like this is coming out. I wouldn't mind trying an electric but not sure if I would like to go for an HB version?
By the way, is this posted in the right forum? |

hi
interesting motor position. i wonder why the battery holder are mounted that high...not very good for the balance point.
personally i am not at all a fan of those dual systems. if you go brushless and that is certainly the way to go with an e-savage it is more efficient to go with one big motor.
would be interesting to see pics of the real model.
bye

This is a Hot Bodies product, and it's in 1/10th scale, not 1/8th, it seems that HB/HPI is purposely trying to keep this from being interchangable with parts from the Savage, it's a new truck built from the ground up, if any parts do interchange with Savage, it's probably by complete accident. |

True... but I think this will be a much cheaper alternative for people that just wanna play around in the backyard because it's RTR..... and I like how you say "just".... I'm *just* going to pour $1K+ into a brushless savage conversion so I can have the meanest electric on the block.... not that that's a bad thing, but there are people who cant afford to go that route but still want a decent electric monster. |

Old thread, I know....But It's posted in the right forum now!!
Anyone know whatever happened with it? I haven't seen anything like it as I am not into electric myself. Always interested in funky RC stuff though. |
