I hear your wisdom. I dont think I could ever sell my main basher. The one in my Avatar, it just wont die.
Hey whats the deal with these extended screws?http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.885035/n.1/it.A/id.6197/.f
Is that for something special? I have no idea about beadlocs. My knowledge ends at "no more glue" |

yea, and they say extended, for external rings? I dunno. Will be two weeks before I order so I'll get it figured.
HPI Plastic big bores on the way for now, still can't decide between using the Baja front shocks, or IRC (pending the boasted 8mm shock shaft they are suppose to release late november 2010) |

yea, But IRC is supposed to have some killer 8mm shaft comming out, Now it is said that they will have a conversion kit, so if you have LST shocks already you just need the conversion kit, Maybe I'll do the LST's...soo many options with these things. Its hard to have one truck |

| i think i seen a thread on them. i guess it comes down to what you like for looks as from the sounds of it they all preform about the same. i always liked the look of the stockers being two shocks per corner looked more 1:1 MT to me i just dident like how skinny they where i think eight BB's will look cool. |

I have 8 alum's on my main ride. I try to do everything based on load displacement and durability. More shaft = more load capable.
More oil = smaller wt amounts with better dampening (IMO anyways, I could be wrong but it works) But for how heavy this truck is atm, those 8mm shafts are looking pretty darn good. Plus then I could make some mounting braces ?:D
Well....I was about to order the IRC LST Black annodized BB shocks, but they are out of stock. LOL. 17 Days untill their order comes in.
Edit: DDM shopping cart is ready to go
IRC shopping cart is ready to go
ALl I need to do is get some more aluminum to make my skid plate and shock mounts, eventually I will come up with a design for the TVP's....maybe, oh and make a new engine plate. |
Iguy you have a point. Its something I would like to try but not on the first round.
I added a spot for the roll bar behind the engine, I think it may sit a little low but we will see.
I should get a quote tomorrow, then the biggest thing on my mind is "will the engine plate work?" lol.
Final design gone to the Machinest. I made myself promis to stop tinkering with it untill I had a physical one in my hand.
i would buy that ,once they are good to go drop me an email and i will get them. |

@PiccoSS
The design and material is too costly for me to produce. It would be a $400.00 frame if I were to only make a handfull.
But if you would like I can send you the CAD files and you can see what shops around you will charge for cutting. Thats why I started to hand craft one. Now with a mid tank in the plans too
The cad files include the two frames, engine plate, extra braces and full length skid plate.
@Nathanraina and Purenitro (and PiccoSS since your in alberta too )
I like the idea of a Alberta Bash Day, I wish I could make it to NITROMITES but its too far and expensive for me this year. |
