| my first r/c was an electric radioshack dunebuggy. my uncle worked there for a while and they gave him all the defective ones. we had about 6 of them i think but stuff kept happening to them, like dogs chewing off the front end lol. we had a red one for years, and it was soooo fast for being a defective freebie. i remember playing with it all the time. then one day i was trying to fix it and the batterypack started smoking and the whole thing shorted out. that made me upset..... i was just a kid though so of course i was upset. |
SAVAGE X & REVO. Both modded.

My first R/C's were:
Taiyo Porsche 935
Radio Shack Flex-mobile
Nikko Venus Turbo Aero-Buggy
All of them still work perfectly although not as original equipment.
The Porsche 935 used to brake one front wheel to turn the steering, only worked while moving. I've torn this setup out and made a custom steering and used a servo. It uses the ESC/receiver from my Tamiya's. I glued Velcro to the back of the units so I can swap them between vehicles/boats.
The Flex-mobile is like brand new, nothing modified, hardly a scratch on it even though it did plenty of driving. Sooooo sloooow it is... lol.
The Nikko Venus has been gutted and I fitted a 380 motor and also uses the ESC/Receiver from my Tamiya electrics. Makes it fly. http://www.evolution2kx.com/~roadrunner/rccars.htm
I'd gotten all 3 one X-mas. I'm 38 so it was a long time ago... Hahahaha. The Porsche from my Grandfather, the Flex-mobile from my Dad and I bought the Venus with money I'd saved from mowing lawns. I much preferred the Venus because it would keep up to my brother's Tyco Turbo Jet-Hopper and out handle it over the bumps, and the 'Turbo' didn't cut-out when you steered.
My first hobby class R/C was an electric TA-02 Escort WRC Rally car kit. |

| Not counting the countless radio shack, niko, and others bought from toy stores, my first real rc was a kyosho raider. I bought it, built it, modded it, bought another, modded it, then got my first monster truck, the kyosho big boss. I still have all of them too. I thought the raider was really fast. In,reality, if it hit 20 mph, it was lucky. I still pull them out evry now and then, and even ran the raider in a race last year(with a mod motor, it kept up in the straights, but got killed in the corners). |

Well my first Nitro Was HPI Rush Evo, but i sold that cos i was basically a n00b at nitro r/c and it kept stripping spur gears, but now after reading through forums i have a very good understanding at Nitro and what i did wrong.
My first Electric was a Nikko r/c i had plenty of them, then my mate sold me a tamiya pennzoil kit, that he had bought and built up, i had an electric speedo and charger and batteries for £60 and i had the most fun with that so i sold it to get my rush evo..... |

mi first R/C toy was by Nikko years ago, cannot remember what is was call.
think the real 1st R/C car i bought myself was Tamiya Dyna Blaster, which i still have it now. picture belows.
with a fews missing / damaged screws...
then i upgraded it with a few parts from tamiya and some from HPI.
its pretty hard now to find parts for this truck, as it have been discontinued.
only hope is i can find part from HPI lineup to match it.
right now, its still missing a new motor, speed control unit and a receiver.
the second R/C i got was also a tamiya, this time, it was a TL-01 Shaft-driven electric car.
same as the Dyna Blaster, its missing afew parts like a new motor, SCU n recevier, which i think i should be able to still find as its still in production.
Then the first Nitro car i got was Koysho super ten series. it was a bad choice, as soon after i got it, koysho stop production for this model, i am struck with a broken car and no parts availables
lastly, all mi R/C toys.....
i also have a mini R/C by Tomy...no pictures though. |
Too much too list.... |

my first hobby grade rc car was a glow fuel powered kyosho sandmaster.
i built it when i was eight years old, it only went about 30 mph but that was fast enough for my age back then. |
