| Alot of people are at work. Congrats on the new savage! I hope you dont think that quart will last very long. I can go through a gallon in less than a week with my stock savage. That quart will only be enough to break the motor in. |

I'm just messin with you guys
I figured the quart will go pretty quickly, I'll have to order more right before I'm ready to break it in. That way when I'm ready to start having some real fun I'll have a gallon waiting for me.
I don't think I've been this happy since I got my first car (87 Buick Grand National) |

Yeah, a quart will only just get you through break-in of the engine. Also, a 250cc fuel bottle is a bit on the small side. The fuel tank is 160cc, so you wont even get two refills from that.
Do you have a way to measure engine temperature?
Good luck with your Savage. It'll give you many funfilled hours |

How long can you run the truck on one tank of gas? I'll just bring the extra fuel with me if I have to. Not really a big deal to me either way.
I didn't buy the temp guage yet, but I'm planning on it. There were a few other things I wanted to get as well, but I already broke the bank as it is! I figured once I'm close to finishing the build I'll be able to get whatever else I need. |

I run about 15-20 minutes on a tank of fuel when playing, but a little less if I gun the throttle.
This hobby isn't cheap, but I think it's worth it. Just be prepared to break the bank sometimes and maybe put aside some cash for upgrades. I made some calculations of the cost before getting my Savage three months ago and have spent twice as much as I originally expected. And I haven't even spent a gallon of fuel yet (there's about two tanks worth left)
The starting equipment is expensive, but hopefully it should be a cheaper hobby later on. |

15-20 min isn't bad at all.
Like you said, I noticed the startup costs to be a little pricey, but after I look at everything I ordered I can't say it was all that expensive. It's not nearly as bad as what modding my car was! I still get to have my fun (on a smaller scale), and not spend nearly as much as what I used to! |

So everything came in the mail today! Hopefully this weekend I can start the build. During the week I'm to go through all of the instructions so I can get set. Any last minute tips for the build besides using threadlock on metal to metal and to take my time? |

Yea, I read the thread about how to properly set it. They have that on HPI's website. I've had a good couple of weeks to go through and read up on here. I'm just going to take my time and if I get stuck on something I will stop and come back to it later. |
