Does anyone know if this: HB Steel Brake Hub will work with this:HPI Stainless Brake Kit?

My cup had notches wore in it pretty bad. Bad enough to bind and lurch around. The front one was worse than the rear, but the front cup is stock, so I replaced it. I bought the truck with this kit on it (stops on a dime with minimal effort), so I didn't realize the rear hub wasn't stock. So, now I have 2 heavy duty HPI cups coming in the mail and I picked up two standard stock cups at the LHS... so I'll have 3 to replace the front one with, but none to fix the rear one.

I'd rather buy the $9 part than buy the whole HPI kit. The disk are hardly worn as well are the pads. I couldn't find the cup only on tower. All I could find was the HB one.

Thanks.

After looking at it, I don't think it will fit. I looks like the HB Dual brakes have the same size hole as the stock brakes. But the HPI dual brakes have a smaller hole... I wonder why they did that. They did such a nice job in design of the savage, then they go and do something stupid like this.

The steel HB brake hub is the stock size Savage hub. The HPI dual disk kit has a smaller steel hex included with the kit (which means smaller hole in the rotors)....it's a all-in-one kit.

Not only is it really hard to understand a lot of your posts, this is the second post I have seen by you in the past day with incorrect information. Please be sure you know what you are talking about before posting.

not necessarily. its part num 86272.

i ran down the basement to get that but i am not good with numbers at all. so YOU BETTER CHECK AGAIN. look at the instruction sheet that came with you dual disk brakes. its right there.

you gotta get your LHS to put it on special order for you. thats how it works with these hop up spare parts.

I bought the truck with the kit already installed, so I don't have instructions sheets.

Thanks for the number though.

It's kind of wierd that I can't find that part # at HPI's site. I just sent them an email.

I know it's kind of retarded as this part will probably be only a couple $'s less than the kit as a whole, but I don't need the kit.
